Redwater is located about 35 minutes NE of Edmonton, Alberta. We are home to approximately 2,200 people, 150 businesses and are located only 5 km north of Alberta’s Industrial Heartland. Redwater citizens enjoy a high quality of life that provides opportunity for involvement and a sense of belonging.

Redwater is a safe and secure community with an RCMP detachment securely ensconced in the community. The Redwater Health Center as well as ambulance service and the Redwater Volunteer Fire Department serve the Town of Redwater and surrounding area. We boast playgrounds, park areas, ball diamonds, soccer pitches, an outdoor swimming pool, a running track, 9 hole grass green golf course, a skateboard park and Provident Place is home to our indoor arena, curling club, golf club and our youth group.

 Redwater has a full range of educational opportunities, from preschool to adult programs, and has ensured a future for its children by maintaining a high standard in its education system. The preschool programs include playschool as well as a headstart program. Located in the Town of Redwater, Ochre Park School offers kindergarten to grade 4 education and Redwater School provides classes for grades 5 - 12 as well as the Registered Apprenticeship Program.
